When one single mother in Gardner learned that she had breast cancer she was worried, not just for herself but for her three young children. Following the removal of her breast, suspicious cells were also found in her uterus. Six months ago, she had surgery to remove her breast and a total hysterectomy and began chemotherapy.
Today, she is cancer-free, as far as doctors can tell, though she still is recovering and unable to work.
