Alibaba Group to invest $44 mln in Yahoo-Koubei
Shanghai. December 11. INTERFAX-CHINA - Alibaba Group plans to invest RMB 300 million ($43.76 million) in its search subsidiary Yahoo-Koubei in 2009, Alibaba Group announced on Dec. 10.
"Yahoo-Koubei plans to increase its focus on providing classified listing services to its users, including the ability to locate apartments for rent, restaurants and entertainment, culture, sports and leisure, health services, education and personal services on a convenient and trustworthy platform," John Spelich, vice president of Alibaba Group, told Interfax.
