China's iron ore stockpiles down to 62.55 mln tons by December 12
Shanghai. December 12. INTERFAX-CHINA - Iron ore stockpiles at China's 22 major ports stood at 62.55 million tons on Friday, Dec. 12, down 5.2 percent from Dec. 5, while Indian iron ore stockpiles dropped by 4.63 percent to 13.4 million tons, according to figures released by Shanghai- based Mysteel.
Spot market prices for imported iron ore continued to be supported by tight supplies at various ports, while transaction volumes remained at low levels over the week.
