Two years after international fuel trader Vitol took the plunge into Latvia's transit market, the company has dismissed growing rumors in the local market that it has been disappointed with its investment in terminal operator Ventspils Nafta and is looking to sell up.

A company spokesman tells Nefte Compass: "Vitol is enthusiastic about the future of the Latvian transit business and remains committed to pursuing the long-term business opportunities presented by Ventspils Nafta. Vitol is not looking to sell."
