Equality staff may resign in solidarity with Crowley
THE Government is bracing itself for a fresh round of resignations from the Equality Authority following the departure of Niall Crowley, its chief executive.
The resignation of Mr Crowley over a 43pc cut to the agency's funding, amid claims that it was singled out over its work on behalf of public sector workers, has also led to tensions between Fianna Fail and the Green Party.
The Equality Authority has some 500 cases of alleged discrimination on its books, with more than half of all cases -- including almost 70pc of complaints under the Equal Status Acts -- taken by workers employed in ...
