We receive numerous calls and correspondence regarding Combat-Related Special Compensation (CRSC). Hopefully this article will answer many of the questions concerning this benefit, especially since Chapter 61 retirees can now apply.
What is CRSC?
CRSC allows certain military retirees to receive military retirement pay and VA Disability Compensation. This means qualified military retirees with 20 or more years of service who have a combat related VA-rated disability no longer have their military retirement pay reduced by the amount of their VA disability compensation.
