Clint Barmes has turned opportunity into responsibility.
He has re-established himself as a key part of the Rockies' present and future.
Moved into the leadoff spot in the lineup when Willy Taveras was knocked out for the season Wednesday, Barmes keyed the Rockies' 15-6 victory against the Giants at AT&T Park.
Barmes equaled a career best with the sixth four-hit game of his career, driving in four runs with a home run, double and two singles in helping the Rockies to their most productive road game of the season.
