GIVING PAWS A HAND
Coloradans, joining with animal shelter staffers from around the country, are doing their part to help animals in the wake of Hurricane Ike.
Ten people from Denver's Dumb Friends League and its Castle Rock Buddy Shelter, three from the Humane Society of Boulder Valley and two from the Larimer Humane Society are working with Operation Rescue Paw. They are sharing responsibility for sheltering hundreds of pets rescued from Galveston, Texas.
