SOUTHERN SHORES - Tobey Piercy Milne, born Oct. 10, 1939, of Southern Shores, N.C., died at home Thanksgiving Day Nov. 27, after a reoccurrence of breast cancer.
She was lovingly attended by her immediate family. Other family members and many friends were part of her "transition team."
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Robert Milne; her sons, Michael and Andrew; daughter-in-law, Jalila; granddaughter, Alexa; and brother, Gordon C. Piercy and his family.
A graduate of Duke University, Tobey taught elementary school in North Carolina and worked in California before moving for two years with her family to Kenya. She received her master's ...
