A variety of skin conditions can occur on the skin around the eyes. This area is susceptible to inflammation, infections, and neoplastic conditions, some of which are specific to the lids while others can occur elsewhere on the cutaneous surfaces. A number of the most common conditions are reviewed emphasizing diagnosis and patient care.
