Radio-Canada, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp.'s French-language television network, has purchased over $1 million worth of DVCPRO equipment from Panasonic Canada.
The component digital DVCPRO equipment will replace existing analog equipment at Radio-Canada bureaus nationwide and will be used to produce both regional and national news reports. The 63-unit order includes A J-D700 and AJ-D200 digital camcorders, AJ-D750 studio editing VTRs, A J-D230 desktop VTRs and 17 AJ-LT75 laptop editors.
