Dec. 14--A day before appearing in district court, Jenica Ladon Royer was cited for simple assault for an incident police say was related to a fight at Planned Parenthood.
It was a different setting for the 27-year-old mother Wednesday as she sat before a judge and pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine with intent to deliver and child endangerment, offenses that stemmed from accusations she sold the illegal powder to a police informant.
Royer is expected to ask a judge for a deferred judgment for the possession charge, and Des Moines County prosecutors have agreed to recommend -- jointly with her defense attorney -- she ...
