SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -- The Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors voted 4 to 1 to uphold the Montecito Planning Commission's approval of Caruso Affiliated's plan for a 192-room, five-star luxury hotel in Montecito at the site of the former Miramar Hotel. The Supervisors denied appeals filed by two parties and upheld the October 8 decision by the Montecito Planning Commission.
