ABSTRACT
Social responsibility in the business world has been considered the management's obligation to make choices and behave in such a way that will contribute to the welfare and interests of society as well as the organization. The aim of this paper is to explore, how corporate social responsibility has developed in Chinese organizations. Results of 34 structured interviews in Chinese companies confirm to the results of literature review, that although there are some good examples, generally among business managers in China the sense of social responsibility is quite low.
