Chapin, Harry M.
AUSTIN, TEXAS - Harry M. Chapin, age 80, died peacefully at his home on Friday, Nov. 28, 2008. Born in Crookston, Minn. on Jan. 31, 1928, he grew up in Grand Forks, North Dakota where his father Harry, worked for the Great Northern Railroad. He served in the Navy from 1945 until 1953 and saw the world. He went on to work for Western Electric Telephone Company where he made many life long friends and met his future wife, Salome Kimberley. In 1963, they moved to McFarland, and started family. Following Salome' s death in 2003, Harry moved to Austin, Texas to enjoy the never ending sunshine.
