Article: Coming of age @ http://www.napim.org. (National Association of Printing Ink Manufacturers strives to raise profile of industry)(Column)

If the bulletin I received from the National Association of Printing Ink Manufacturers at the end of November is correct, then this column is a year late. The NAPIM bulletin announced that January 14, 1997 marks National Printing Ink Day, the 21st annual celebration of this event.

This means that the milestone 20th anniversary last year somehow slipped by without my taking notice. Moreover, it puts me in the somewhat embarrassing role of a parent who has lost track of a dear child's birthday since, back in 1976, I created National Printing Ink Day as part of the printing ink industry's celebration of America's bicentennial event.
