Jan. 29--A Washington manufacturer is seeking help from the city to locate its business in south Grand Forks.
Longview Fibre of Longview, Wash., has submitted a proposal to the Grand Forks Growth Fund, a portion of the city's 1-cent sales tax used for economic development.
John O'Leary, executive director of the Office of Urban Development, which oversees the Growth Fund, said the proposal will be considered by the Growth Fund committee Monday.
Longview manufacturers corrugated containers and would initially employ 15 people and occupy an 85,000 square-foot facility in south Grand Forks, O'Leary said.
