TO THE EDITOR:
Nov. 22 is National Survivors of Suicide Day, a day to educate the public about suicide and its aftermath, and a day to provide support to those left behind.
Suicide is the second leading cause of death in New Hampshire for young people aged 10 to 35 and the fourth leading cause of death for ages 35 to 54. Last year, 150 people in New Hampshire died by suicide, leaving behind at least 1,000 family, friends, co-workers and neighbors to deal with unexplainable loss and powerful emotions.
