To those who haven't already fallen through the safety net, five years might be enough time. But no one should count on it. More and more Oregonians who have health insurance today could lose it tomorrow - or next month, or next year - if premiums keep rising at current rates.
That's why the blueprint for health care reform provided by the Oregon Health Fund Board, which aims to give every Oregonian access to affordable health care within five years, deserves an urgent commitment from the federal government to equally ambitious reform.
