Dec. 17--1But some of the elderly people at the Good Samaritan Center in Hays make pretty good students, too. As part of a class at North Central Kansas Technical College, Gretchen Dietz has enjoyed teaching Mary Miller the art of smocking this fall. Dietz, a senior at Hays High School, is enrolled in the Certified Nurse Aide program in the allied health program at NCKTC. The students are working on their required clinical rotation at the Good Samaritan Center. Miller, 88, said she learned how to sew when she was 6 or 7 years old. She also embroiders.
