(ADP News) - Dec 9, 2008 - Kuwaiti building materials manufacturer ACICO Industries Co (KUW:ACICO), formerly Aerated Concrete Industries Co (ACICO), registered an increase in its net profit to KWD 8.3 million (USD 30.2m/EUR 23.4m) in the nine months ended September 30, from KWD 6.8 million a year ago, the company said in a filing to the Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE).

The earnings per share (EPS) reached 40.48 fils in the first nine months of 2008, up from 34.13 fils a year ago.

In the third quarter of 2008, the net profit declined slightly to KWD 1.98 million from KWD 2.1 million in the same period last year.
