WORK on Bahrain's first recycling plant is expected to begin by the end of next year, it was revealed yesterday.
The contract for the BD300 million plant was signed yesterday between the Municipalities and Agriculture Ministry and the French firm Constructions Industrielles De La Mediterranee.
It was signed at a ceremony held at the Finance Ministry headquarters, in Diplomatic Area.
CNIM has been given 18 months to complete all required studies before starting construction work, but it is hoped to begin well ahead of this.
