SILICON VALLEY, Calif., Dec. 19 (AScribe Newswire) -- This month, two dark-matter researchers at University of California, Irvine raised additional doubts about the existence of Cold Dark Matter's weakly interacting massive particles (WIMPs). They published a paper in Physical Review Letters entitled, "Dark-Matter Particles without Weak-Scale Masses or Weak Interactions."

The first sentence of their abstract reads, "We propose that dark matter is composed of particles that naturally have the correct thermal relic density, but have neither weak-scale masses nor weak interactions."
