Black pepper, red chilli up on paucity of stocks, low arrivals

New Delhi, Dec 19 (PTI) Black pepper and red chilli today rose by Rs 100 each per quintal in the national capital due to paucity of ready stocks against low arrivals from producing belts.

Higher advices from producing regions also dampened the market sentiments.

Black pepper prices rose by Rs 100 to Rs 12,200-12,300 per quintal on good demand from exporters. Red chilli prices further up by Rs 100 to Rs 5,600-9,600 per quintal.
