Dec. 20--ST. CLOUD -- The New London-Spicer offense picked it up a notch and bolted past St. Cloud Cathedral 76-71 on Friday in West Central North boys basketball. The Crusaders led 38-30 at halftime. Led by Aaron Johnson's 17 second-half points, the Wildcats took the lead with 9:26 left. Johnson had only two points at halftime. Erik Tengwall added 15 points, Sam Schmid 11 and Aaron Jenny 10 for the Wildcats, now 3-0 in the conference. Cathedral was led by Kevin Wenner with 19 points and Luke Januschka with 17.
