Dear Non-Local Resident/Friend:
Season's greetings from Central New York. A lot of us - meaning mainly me - were sitting around recently thinking: Wouldn't it be great if we wrote a special holiday letter from all of us who live in Central New York to all of you who don't?
It would be a chatty, upbeat letter, one that would highlight all our wonderful achievements in'08. It would put a positive spin on even the worst news, and yes, it would be obnoxious and self-serving, but it would be worth reading if only for the challenge of sorting out the lies.
