MILPITAS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 5, 1997--Quantum Corporation (NMS:QNTM), the market leader in solid state disks, today announced that ECCS, Inc., an industry-leading RAID manufacturer, will offer Quantum's Rushmore(TM) ESP 3000 family of solid state disks as a high-performance option with its Synchronix(TM) Storage Management System.
The ESP3013 and ESP3026 solid state disks chosen by ECCS provide 134 and 268 megabytes (MB) of storage in the 3.5-inch form factor. Quantum's non-volatile Rushmore series, which uses semiconductors (DRAMs) as the storage media, provide near-instantaneous access to data allowing an I/O throughput rate of 5,000 I/O's per ...
