Dec. 21--More than 200 people in northwest Kansas will be affected by the slowdown in the automotive industry in the next month.
Adronics-Elrob Manufacturing Corp. will shut down production lines for at least two weeks at plants in Hays and Goodland, Vice President Troy Robinson said.
"Instead of doing a layoff, we'll just shut down," Robinson said. The shut down begins Monday, with a few departments coming back to work Jan. 5. Most employees won't return until Jan. 19.
