CADIZ, Ohio _ In this town, frankly, they do give a damn.
You can tell by the Southern belles in hoop skirts and soldiers in Civil War regalia who, for a little while this weekend, turned the rocky hills of eastern Ohio into the fertile fields of the Old South. It was all to celebrate the birthday of this village's native son _ actor Clark Gable.
People on Saturday danced, drank, rubbed elbows with a star and traded memories and memorabilia on what would have been Gable's 96th birthday.
