MONTREAL, and LIME ROCK, Conn., Feb. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- The New World Power Corporation (Nasdaq: NWPCC) announced today the sale of the Four Burrows and Dyffryn Brodyn wind farms in the United Kingdom to Renewable Energy Systems Ltd. (RES), a member of the Sir Robert McAlpine Group.
The proceeds from the sale of approximately U.S. $3.75 million will be used to retire the project debt on the Caton Moor wind farm that New World Power Corp. continues to own in the U.K. and to reduce the company's obligations to corporate debt holders.
