EuroChem to invest 40 bln rubles to develop Perm territory potassium deposits

PERM. Dec 25 (Interfax) - Russia's EuroChem Mineral Chemical Company plans to invest at least 40 billion rubles to develop the Palashersky and Balakhoncevsky areas of the Verkhnekamsk potassium salt deposit in Perm territory and build potassium production capacity, the governor's office in the territory said in a statement.

"EuroChem confirmed its intention to develop them and build processing capacity," the statement says.

The company is currently gearing up to conduct geological exploration of the areas.
