NEW YORK -- As the consumption of wine grows in the U.S., so too, grows the thirst for wine-related accessories -- a small but growing portion of which are being offered through wine catalogs.
Wine catalogs offer housewares vendors a means of gaining recognition and an opportunity for brand building through a specialty market, according to vendors. Moreover, wine catalogs lend a certain credibility to the items, because wine connoisseurs represent both the catalogers who buy the accessories offered and the readers/consumers themselves.
