Yunnan to purchase 590,000 tons of base metals from eight producers

Shanghai. December 31. INTERFAX-CHINA - The Yunnan Provincial Economic and Trade Commission announced on Dec. 31 that it will initially purchase a total of 590,000 tons of base metals from eight local producers as part of its 1 million-ton base metals purchase scheme.

The first batch of purchases consists of 180,000 tons of primary aluminum, 30,000 tons of tin, 236,000 tons of zinc, 104,000 tons of lead and 40,000 tons of refined copper.
