SAMARINDA, Jan 2 Asia Pulse - Economic indicators amidst the global financial crisis are predicted to decline in 2009, an Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) executive says.

"The global crisis which hit many countries in the world in 2008 will continue this year. We should remain watchful over economic developments in the first quarter of this year," HM Fauzy A Bahtar, chairman of Kadin's East Kalimantan chapter, said Thursday.

The condition of businesses in East Kalimantan was quite satisfying on account of significant progress the province made in 2008.
