ISLANDERS fear someone may be withholding vital information about the fate of a local sailor who went missing a week ago.
Simon Macmillan was last seen on South Uist in the early hours of Boxing Day.
Last night, locals appealed for anyone who knew what had happened to the 21-year-old Merchant Navy cadet to come forward. Over the past week, hundreds of locals have carried out a daily search for Mr Macmillan, along with dozens of extra police officers, divers and search dogs which have been drafted in from the mainland.
Despite police claims that they are still treating the mysterious disappearance as a missing person inquiry, locals already fear ...
