KPMB converts a depressing warren of midtown offices into prototypical work spaces for Ammirati Puris Lintas.
One can easily spot the Manhattan offices for Ammirati Puris Lintas (APL) from an airplane en route to La-Guardia. It's not that the building is so noticeable - though the agency occupies the top 10 floors of One Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, one of the most dreary, conspicuous, faux-Mies towers to emerge from the midtown skyline. It's because Ralph Ammirati himself insists upon the horizontal alignment of internal window shades around the perimeter of every floor, an admirable compulsion for purity that one normally associates only with architects.
