Federal Government To Investigate Alleged DFA Price Manipulation: Federal regulators are investigating allegations that the Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), has manipulated milk and cheese prices, according to a report published in the Wall Street Journal. DFA, which controls a third of the U.S. milk supply, also faces anti-trust lawsuits by farmers and retailers alleging it conspired to suppress prices it paid for raw milk in the Southeast, while raising prices to the region's retailers.
