DISH Network has yanked KVAL off its system in Eugene as part of a larger dispute with Seattle-based Fisher Communications after the companies were unable to come to terms on a new contract.
Fisher, in turn, has filed a $1 million breach of contract suit against DISH, based in Englewood, Colo.
Until the dispute is resolved, DISH subscribers in Eugene won't be able to watch such CBS hits as "CSI" and "Criminal Minds" unless they they switch providers or get the shows the old-fashioned way: over the air.
In addition to KVAL, DISH also took down other Fisher-owned affiliates in Seattle, Yakima, ...
