MACOMB, Ill. -- Western Illinois University got through its women's basketball nonconference schedule with few wins, but plenty of lessons.
Now that Summit League play is here, the Westerwinds are showing what they have learned.
Western Illinois knocked off Southern Utah 59-48 Monday night at Western Hall to stay in the logjam at the top of the conference standings.
