NEPTUNE, N.J., Feb. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- By a margin of nearly 2 to 1, employees in the Distribution, Pressroom and Transportation departments of Asbury Park Press Inc. have rejected efforts by three unions to represent them. Asbury Park Press Inc. publishes the Asbury Park Press (Neptune) and The Home News & Tribune (East Brunswick), two daily newspapers serving central New Jersey.
In elections conducted over three days, employees voted 89-45 against the Communications Workers of America (CWA) and by margins of 96-52 against the Graphic Communications International Union (GCIU) and 105-62 against the Newspaper and Mail Deliverer's Union (NMDU).
