Hasina prefers new faces in council of ministers
Dhaka, Jan 6 (PTI) Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today inducted 31 ministers, mostly new faces, soon after she was sworn in for the second time.
The formation of the council of ministers surprised several analysts as most Awami League bigwigs, including Amir Hossain Amu, Abdur Razzak, Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury, Tofail Ahmed, Abdul Jalil and Suranjit Sengupta, failed to carve a place in the cabinet.
Asked to comment about her preference to the new faces in the council of ministers, Hasina said, "everyone wants to see new faces." They all do politics . . . The ministers in our past ...
