Supply decreasing
In recent years, the development speed of domestic BR (cis-1, 4-polybutadiene rubber) lags significantly behind SBR (styrene-butadiene rubber). The production of BR manufacturers was going well in the first half year of 2008 with a bigger increase in production than the same period of 2007, but since the second half of 2008, due to extortionate price of butadiene and slow increase of demand in downstream sectors, aside from some manufacturers shut down for overhaul, many manufacturers discontinued or cut production because they could not afford the extortionate price of the raw material.
