Upgrades. It seems to me that I receive an upgrade notice in the mail right around the time I've finished installing the current version of a program. As soon as you really know a particular feature or program, your knowledge becomes obsolete. Having written an entire book about Adobe PageMaker 6.0 that I couldn't get published before PageMaker 6.5 was to appear, I may feel the pain of this process more acutely than most.
The best antidote to the pain of upgrades is having a good supply of timesaving tricks--the more you know, the more likely it is that a large percentage of them will survive the upgrade process.
