The Cebu Dolphins formally clinched top spot in the semifinals after outscoring Forward Taguig, 4-2, in the resumption of their suspended match for an 11-3 win in Baseball Philippines Series 4 yesterday at the Rizal Memorial Baseball Stadium.
Enjoying a 7-1 advantage in the resumption of play entering the fifth inning, the Dolphins went to lefty Jeffrey Ardio, Joseph Orillana, Jonash Ponce and actor Richard Gomez to preserve the win.
Their game was stopped last Oct. 19 due to darkness.
