NEW YORK, March 2 /PRNewswire/ -- The New York Times Company (AMEX: NYT.A) announced today that the assets of NYT Custom Publishing, its division that produces custom-designed magazines for clients under contract, is for sale. The division has won a number of awards, including two Folio magazine industry excellence awards.

NYT Custom Publishing is not a part of the Company's Magazine Group, which is a separate operating unit based in Trumbull, Connecticut and which includes nine consumer and trade sports magazines, and a sports marketing operation.
