COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.--American Airlines will boost the daily capacity of its Colorado Springs flight schedule by nearly one-third during the next month as it adds a ninth flight and begins using larger aircraft.
American will start using Boeing 757 aircraft -- which can carry up to 188 passengers -- on three of its eight flights Sunday and Monday, replacing 97-passenger Fokker F100 aircraft, said Tim Smith, an American spokesman in Forth Worth, Texas. All eight of American's flights are between Colorado Springs and Dallas-Forth Worth International Airport.
