"Tropic Thunder," the Viacom Inc. spoof of big-budget Hollywood action films, remained the top film at U.S. and Canadian theaters for a third weekend, earning $11.5 million. The film fended off competition from new releases including News Corp.s "Babylon A.D.," which finished second with $9.7 million, and Time Warner Inc.s "The Dark Knight," which was third at $8.75 million, box-office tracker Media By Numbers LLC said today in an e-mailed statement.
