Biodiversity is the variation of life that can be divided into 3 categories: genetic diversity, which is the diversity of genes within a species, species diversity, which is diversity among species in an ecosystem, and finally, ecosystem diversity which means a larger organisation between the populations, organisms and their environment.

Biodiversity is very important for ecosystems and the species within them to prevent and recover from a variety of disasters. Unfortunately, human activity is causing massive extinction. For example, deforestation causes the extinction of an estimated 100 species of plants and animals every day.
