Reports of growth seem few and far between during this time of economic downturn, but for residents in Rexburg, signs of growth are up the hill.
Brigham Young University-Idaho announced Tuesday that in an effort to fulfill its mission to serve more students, the university will increase enrollment in a phased-expansion plan.
The first phase of the expansion will take place in fall 2010, and will expand the full-time student equivalency enrollment cap by nearly 900 students per semester. The phased expansion is set to continue until 2015 upon the conditional approval of the BYU-I Board of Trustees.
