Public and private sector investment combined with international co-operation are boosting the Egyptian glass industry.
Rising on a dusty but well-ordered site at 10th Ramadan City, a new town some 50 kilometres northeast of Cairo, is a $136 million factory which symbolises Egypt's drive to invigorate its industrial sector through liberalisation and private enterprise.
